As we all know, very purpose of the APS is to cater for children of Army personnel whose service conditions do not permit them to stay at peace station with their families for more than 2 years unlike their counterparts in other services whose children enjoy the stability during schooling.

Because of this, I have been through various schools before finally joining APS Allahabad. It was only after becoming part of this institution I realized that this is the place I always wanted. I have been reasonably good in sports as well as studies. I was the badminton champion and the sports vice-captain in my previous school. I also secured 10 CGPA in class 10.However, in this school standard of not only these 2 but all the others is quite high and i consider myself very lucky to have joined this school for my final phase of school life where I have my match in every field. Such a situation automatically improves the performance. I had to go through a tough selection process of various stages to get my badge. As the saying goes, "Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown", this badge has brought immense responsibility along with authority. You have to be always upright and lead by example. When all others are relaxing you do not have luxury. When others can afford a bit of laxity in turnout, discipline, behavior, performance, and other aspects, you always have to be up and about.However,there is always a brighter side to everything and this is no exception. Brighter aspects are that you are the "first among equals", the exposure you get by interacting with the principal and other visiting dignitaries, improves you as a person.

I am sure this experience will hold me in good stead for all my future endeavors in life.
