It gives me a feeling of immense, immeasurable joy and pride to release the 20th edition of “Verve” the portrait of the culmination of the activities and accomplishments of APS, New Cantt, Allahabad.

I feel proud and privileged to be a part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We look at ourselves as a community of learners where everyone learns including our teachers, parents and staff.

Aristotle proclaimed that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. APS, New Cantt, Allahabad is a unique educational environment. It is a place where we have committed ourselves to the vision of raising achievement, raising aspiration and enriching partnerships. Our school has not only carved a niche but also consolidated its repertoire for offering a high level of challenge accompanied by equally high levels of support.

The school has chosen to place itself at the forefront of educational development alongwith fostering values of courtesy, consideration and individual responsibility. Education must provide opportunities to enhance the student’s creativity, expression and the capacity for aesthetic expression. It is training in citizenship. It is a process of character building- sowing within the individual seeds of values, of simplicity and service and helping to blossom into a beautiful human being. It is the only way to a better tomorrow. It is necessary to instil in their minds a dream, a vision, a burning passion to achieve their goals. The school ethos, which includes the teacher’s relationship with the child, is viewed as being of paramount importance in the learning process and When children are accorded a positive school experience which includes development of their literacy, numeracy and communication skills, this in turn enhances their self-esteem and confidence and their motivation to learn is increased.

It feel satisfied to see that continuous efforts are being made by the school for the best grooming of the students .We try to bridge the gap between Materialistic Education which has increased our knowledge of science and technology, giving us skills and worldly prosperity and the value based and spiritual Education which enables us to be centred within and become good human beings. It is a valuable publication which upholds the creative talents of students. It is a window to the activities and accomplishments made by the school.

At APS Allahabad along with academic studies, students are encouraged in games and athletics, art & craft, science clubs, dramatics and various other activities. These make the years at school interesting and worth remembering. It is an amazing feeling to know that APS Allahabad students are making great achievements in their life .Value based education which is the need of the world is given here. Modern techniques of teaching, Indian tradition with character building the school produce fine men & women for the society.
