“Leadership is not about a title or a designation, it's about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and inspiring your teammates.”
Hello everyone I, Ishan Shandilya have been provided by the golden opportunity of being the Head Boy of the school for the session 2021-22.
Being a student of the school from the beginning, I undoubtedly say that this is the best institution. The school has always produced best results in academics, sports as well as CCA.
My primary duty as a head boy is to bring out the best in everybody and make them realise that they, in no way are inferior than anyone.
I understand I may not be able to settle things perfectly sometimes, but I do assure that I will do my best within my power to get things done, and to uphold the tagline "Truth is God".
I hope all the members of prefectorial board will hold up their responsibilities and together we can take our school to the greatest heights.
At last, I want to express my immense gratitude towards Principal ma'am, Vice Principal sir, and all the teachers for believing in my ability to lead and produce.

“Every person is born with leadership skills but to make it come true it requires a lot of efforts, efforts that make a person, one in a hundred or, one in a thousand, or in a lakh and so on....”
Hello everyone my stint as a Head Boy is not going to be easy that I very well understand but one thing i very well know that if,
i have been chosen as the ‘Head Boy’ then there is something special about me which gave me this opportunity to be one in a thousand.
A Head Boy needs to be a balanced in his student life because he is expected to be so; he has to live up to the expectations of his teachers and the institution.
According to me Head Boy is a leader who is full of etiquettes, moral values, principles, and ability to understand people and most importantly lead.
For me my primary rule is to bring out real potential of the students to excel in all the aspects of school life,
whether in academics sports or CCA. I strongly believe in this since APS, Allahabad has given me this opportunity
to make a difference as there is no space for individual gladiators
either a whole team wins or loses there is no space for individual achievement alone.
I understand that my role as a head Boy requires immense responsibility but the old adage of ‘truth alone triumphs’ will be my guiding light as i am eager
to carry out each responsibility with sincerity and enthusiasm. No doubt this is a path of fire but i love to walk this path.
For a great leader there is always a great institution like IMA which produces leaders like Field Marshal Sam Maneksaw,
Field Marshal K.M. Kariappa, similarly for me it’s my great Institution my school APS, Allahabad.
Lastly, I would just like to say that whenever you achieve something in life remember that you have achieved that thing on shoulders of parents, elders,
well wishers, friends etc. Who have stood and allowed you to stand on their shoulder to reach the heights.

As quoted by Shakespeare,
“All the world’s a stage and all the men & women merely players, they have either exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts”
This tenure seems so perfect is accordance with this!
Being Army Public School’s Head Boy was a memorable chapter of my book of life. It is an awesome platform for me to learn new things, for my skills of leadership and observation and above all, teach me "Responsibility" and "Team Management". Obviously, it was never easy to deal with the blunders I made sometimes, but then I could be my mentors, pears and lovely juniors motivating me to go on. Looking at them, I felt a surge of optimism. I will be always grateful to the administration and staff for providing me chances to serve the institution twice as A School vice Captain (2015-16) and Head Boy (2016-17). Also it was immense pleasure to be chosen as the most voracious reader 2015-16 and being English club co-member. That has made me resolute about being a "Bibliophile!"
Indeed, a journey to start is a journey to end. This tenure comes to an end, for time has taken its flight again. With this milestone of my school life, I feel bold and confident to face the open challenging world and Army Public School's administration for accompanying me in this journey of which I would always be proud of!!!

“ Not the mountain which melt away with heat. Not the oceans evaporate every second. Not the rocks which erode. Not the monuments which degrade and not our soul which leaves us with our last breath. What stays is our values and values are what I received during my tenure as a head boy. ”
It was not long, just one year but it was enough to teach me various skills. It made me good leader, a good listener, a good advisor, a good problem solver and more than all of it a good example.
All this of course did not happen in a single day or during a single event. The metamorphosis occurred during the course of various activities I participated in, starting from the debate in Haridwar where we had gone for cluster debate. I believed the juniors with me were my responsibility as the head boy and it was the very first challenge I faced, thus, learning the first lesson ‘’Responsibility’’.
It was followed by the organizing of Independence Day and Teachers Day which were both organized by us. With lots of tasks to do, children to handle and blunders to deal with, I learnt my second lesson ‘’Leadership’’. In the end was the ‘’Logophillia International Gala’’ where I went not as a head boy but as Satyajeet Sahai. It taught me how to win and how to loose. It taught me what competition is and how to face it with full confidence and grace. This was my journey as the Head Boy of APS Allahabad, on that I will always be proud of….
